If you are reading this, you are definitely the kind of person who is fascinated by the rich, the royal and the glamorous. May be you even qualify to be labelled as ‘obsessed’ to following the happenings of people who come under these categories. Well I certainly am. I remember following each detail of the royal wedding that was available in the form of news articles, television shows, or random trivia in the media. Although I never saw the movie that was made on William and Kate’s story. I guess I didn’t want to watch an artificial depiction of two people who were so real to me. So when I came across this book, I grabbed it immediately to satisfy my royal cravings. But what I expected was a simple log of how William and Kate met, fell in love and got married to live Happily Ever After.
I never thought that book would be so much more.
No. 1: it’s not just about Will and Kate. It’s about Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Charles and Camilla, William’s childhood, his relationship with Prince Harry, Kate’s family. In fact, it traces her family routes back to three generations and it does so in such a storyteller like way.
I have no clue from where the author got all those quotes from those people who just existed as watcher by’s at some random incident in the lives of these royal characters. I mean, either he did his research really really thoroughly or the British media is truly very meticulous when it comes to tracking the happenings in the lives of their Princes and Princesses.
The book is so well written that you would almost feel like you are reading a fictional novel. I mean, he has even written what Kate Middleton said to her grandmother when she saw the Queen’s speech on the event of Diana’s death.
Having said that, if you are somebody who has enjoyed reading some romance with a royal setting, you are going to absolutely love this book. Because it is an actual real story. And living proof of it is William and Kate who go on to portray the happily in love married royal couple.
